The Audio Programs
(in CD format and on iTunes in Canada, USA and all other English language sites)
The audio programs use a story telling format, sounds of animals, birds and nature. Plus woven into the stories are some gentle exercises. These assist the listener practice the three key skills that researchers tell us promote an increase in cognitive ability. Plus in our experience they enhance bedtime routine, deepen sleep, communications and overall ability to handle stress. However only if they are practiced while the positive mind body habits and mind body memories are established. That can take as little as a few weeks and as long as several months depending upon each child and families unique circumstances.
The audio programs work with the workshop and stand alone to help the user practice and reinforce the key skills from the workshop. The program results are the most powerful when they are used together. However may caregivers report excellent results only from the audio programs. The audio programs are done in story format, the listener is asked to participate in using their imagination and in the process is lead through some gentle mindfulness, relaxation and meditative exercises. They have been very successfully used to assist with a variety of issues including bedtime routines and getting to sleep. Caregivers of children with anger and other behaviour issues have noted that for many (not all) they note some small to large behaviour changes after listening to these programs. Research on these skills indicate that if practiced regularly can have a positive impact on brain development (Cognitive ability). Time Lines – How long does it take for the program to start to work?
Please Note: For some children and families it takes less than three weeks of daily practice, for some it is upwards of 225 practice sessions of practicing these skills enough that they start to change. That is one of the reasons we have the audio programs. So that adults don't have to practice with the child or youth ever session. So, patience is key as the child grasps and grows the inner skills before we start to see that reflected on the outside. How ever once they have it. They have it for a lifetime.
